definitely very preprog prog folky mood bluesy UK label bands. Family of 60's/70's fame were big to them. yea they were piano based and survived long enough to be part of the new wave/alt world. tim finn seemed bored by the 80's and neil took over. kinda like 2 bands. the MK 1 up to the second thoughts LP. then by third record its all tim/neil/rayner band. safe and bland in contrast. I agree with you 100%. If they were influenced by The Bee Gees I am pretty sure they were more influenced by The Brothers Gibb than what those three did in the disco era, but this is definitely on the cusp of Prog/Punk/folk and totally original. I'm sure a lot of 80's music was influenced by them as well. A lot of piano bands.12 years назад
