This song was definitely ahead of it's time, the 80's was the start of consumerism so we should remember by 1984 saturation advertising was already a thing. Midnight Oil did similar songs. Always loved the haunting beginning of this one coming off the back of the equally dark sounding Lost Cat.

Such a great tune written and sung by Nigel Griggs! And the lyrical theme was SO ahead of its day! Look at the state of culture now when it comes to these ubiquitous "adz"? Ugh!
