Great job TheVibratory!....funny how some people always try to justify their ignorance. Myself and many others get that you're playing along with the "studio version" on this Hendrix song and not really "making it your own". Most of the negative comments come from those who do not play and/or do not play as well as you do. Keep up the good work and keep playing man!

I don't really understand the "Most Accurate" part. Were you trying to copy a particular version of this song? Why would you try or even want to play it exactly the same way when Jimi never played any tune exactly the same way twice? Jimi was all about improvisation, and it really annoyed him when people wanted to hear the same songs played the same way over and over.

WoW! I think that may have been a bit better in some ways than Hendrix. He recorded this in what, 1968, 1969? I think he got kind of inconsistent toward the end of his life & I think someone here mentioned his live performances by this point were kind of a crap-shoot, unpredictable. Sounds like a couple of my contemporaries are here & can maybe explain the difference in the 'drug' generation then & today's drug crowd. I remember hearing it said you could clean-up a studio recording if the artist was too blown but not a live performance!I really wasn't big on concerts so when people ask me what concerts I saw back then they look at me like I'm a different person when I tell them Woodstock. It was my brothers 21 st birthday (August 18th, 1969) & I wasn't a huge Hendrix fan but I didn't dislike him either (there were just artists there who I would have liked to see more, that is until I watched Jimi strut onto that stage with white leather jacket & headband looking bigger than life & he played the Star Spangled Banner & if you haven't heard his performance of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock then stop right here & go listen to it. It's GOT to be here on YouTube somewhere. TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY along with most of the rest of the audience. I believe someone said at some point he actually collapsed from exhaustion after leaving the stage (don't know if that's true or not I'd always wondered though if it was due to his drug use, since he had become so inconsistent in his live performances.). Thank you for sharing your performance! You really are awesome! Please tell me you are playing somewhere professionally because if you listen to what we have for rock bands today we NEED artists like you who can make the world sit up and take notice and mean it when they say "Hey, Hey, My, My........Rock & Roll Can Never Die"......"There's more to the picture than meets the eye....Hey, Hey, My, My"...........God Bless & Thanks for bringing back what I thought to be LONG buried memories! AylaghYour control & how you work your guitar reminds me more of Joe Satriani, Hendrix didn't have your control, he didn't give the impression his guitar was part of himself the way you do and Joe Satriani does.
