I guess this is the very first time of the first generation of Simmons sds-V (sds-5) electronic drums has ever appeared on TV, soon the other bands (Kajagoogoo, Imagination, Duran Duran, Yazoo, Talk Talk, Pink Floyd, Queen, Japan, Genesis...) followed the trend of adding hexagonal drums on their instrumental line throughout the 1982. Then by the end of 1982 into 1983, more new wave and funk/r&b/jazz bands or names from States were introduced to this beauty, [Cameo (Style album), Devo, Herb Alpert, Herbie Hancock, Michael Sembello, Talking Heads, The Cars, Miles Davis...] meanwhile "Magic's Wand" (1982) was the first hip-hop/electro record also featured Simmons, thanks to Thomas Dolby and Battery Studios of Jive Records of UK.
