Sonny had one chart hit in the '50's, "Confidential" (#17 on the Hot 100, #8 on R&B chart), when this record brought him back briefly to the Hot 100. He would chart one more time on the Hot 100 during the following year, when "Love Me" charted at #100. Written by Sonny Knight.

Three months earlier on October 10th, 1964 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #71 and spent 9 weeks on the Top 100... Interestingly, it also reached #71 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart... Sonny Knight, aka Joseph Coleman Smith, passed away on September 5th, 1998 at the age of 64... R.I.P. Mr. Knight and Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}...
