Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Ashton Fox grew to love music at a young age. When he wasn't out hunting for his food and riding elephants, he spent his early years learning to play the violin and piano. The guitar soon followed, allowing him to make loads of noise in his angst-y teenage years. In 2011, he moved to the UK in order to study music production further. After releasing a bunch of electro, Ashton decided to try and find the emotional side of music again, reinventing himself as Sonder in 2014.
