Ach...you know it is such a shame. Sol Invictus reminds me of Bob Dylan in that, they are great songwriters, but MAN do they need better instrumentation and singing. This song sounds so discordant, but I can HEAR that there is a really good song in there. They need to write the songs, but have someone else perform them. Same with Dylan---legendary songwriter, shitty performer. It is apparent in Agallochs cover of Sol Invictuses "Kneel To The Cross", that song sounds pretty awful in its original state, but run it through the Agalloch performance machine and it becomes one of the most badass songs I've ever heard. The same thing happened with Bob Dylans "Lay Lady Lay", awful when performed by him, but fucking mind blowing when performed by Ministry. Someone should suggest covering some Sol songs to some other bands, GREAT songs, they just need to be performed by someone else.
