They took off in the mid-90's during the days of grunge. They got signed to Nirvana's label, DGC. Then they made the label unhappy, and have been a truly independent band ever since. Sloan's highly varied discography is consistently praised by Canadian music critics, but their legacy is often overlooked, probably because of their radio-friendly rock singles that tend to define the band in the public eye. As the die-hard fans can attest, Sloan is more than just "Money City Maniacs". I was thrilled to talk about Sloan with Sloan - well, a quarter of Sloan a least.

This was an insightful interview. It almost surprises me to see an aging Andrew Scott. But at the same time I like that he has a wholistic perspective on life, and the success of sloan, that may come across as negative but oh so sincere. agian wow these guys have been around for more than 25 years, and it starting to show, in a good way.Похожие клипы
