I don't know of it's me or anyone else but, I did enjoy their "old" aggressive style thay had a splash of Thrash/Death/Punk sound, moreover, Vol: 3 and All Hope Is Gone brought more of their musicianship (More Thrash and Grove Metal) which was honestly enjoyable. I'm no maggot, nor will I ever call myself one, I'm a metalhead, and can say in a mature way that the Gray Chapter just doesn't ring into my ear like the last five (including MFKR.)

It sucks that the first Slipknot era will be something that will never be re created, not by Slipknot at least. something about the masks being so dirty and 'rotten' just made Slipknot Slipknot, And the craziness. Although I am very impressed with the new album, SLIPKNOT will always destroy anything else they write.

back when they were heavy dark and fresh unlike now they're soft poppy and gay. ill alway love the early stuff but grammies dont hold a place in metal. when dudes are beside lady gaga receiving a grammy then its not my type of music band was so heavy and badass the new stuff is one step above pop rock not trying to be rude just saying their music started getting soft the minute cory became sober
