Album: Speak Into The Machine
Title: Sleeping Savior
Artist: Dale Thompson
Band:
Dale Thompson: Vocals
piano & guitar solo
Billy Jones: Bass
Jerry McBroom: Drums
Howey Gano: Keyboards
This is Dale Thompson's first solo effort. It's sound is unique and not at all like Bride. It has a blues/lounge feel that is enhanced by the fact that Dale plays most of the instruments himself. Occasionally, he is joined by others, such as Troy, Jerry, and even his son, Alex. As with most of the independent Bride releases, there were only 2000 copies of Speak Into The Machine printed and there are only a few hundred left. This cannot be found in stores and is only available through Bride. Email Dale Thompson at: [email protected] for Details!
Lyrics:
Remember when we were on the island
I Thought the storm would never end
Raised us like a flag ah flying
Crucified with my best friend
Like the thief upon the cross
My time is at hand (Into Thy Hand)
Then like broken stained glass
Son of God, son of man
Sleeping Savior sleeping sound
Where is Your Heaven?
Bring it down
Father forgive them for what they do
Weep not for me I die for you
Sink your teeth into the air
Virgin air
Taste, the psychotic kiss
chisels away at my brain
I hear a familiar hiss
Sleeping Savior sleeping sound
Where is Your Heaven?
Bring it down
Father forgive them for what they do
Weep not for me I die for you
Unveil the purple moon
Theres a devil in the light
Sliding down a shining pole
Like the back burn of sanity
The flesh is cold as ice
Sleeping Savior sleeping sound
Where is Your Heaven?
Bring it down
Father forgive them for what they do
Weep not for me I die for you
I die for you
Girl speaking French:
1969
English translation:
1969
A young boy is looking outside of his school's window
Him and the first grade students are saying hello
to the troops of soldiers that are passing outside
Tanks, trucks and jeeps fill
with men that are heading to the Fort Knox military reserve
to train for Vietnam
For these kids war doesn't exist
For these kids all those men will comeback
These kids want to be like all those men they are seeing
These kids will never see war
These kids are innocent
