This song may sound weird but what it teaches is true, when u become a Christian u die to yourself, when you are a Christian you will be persecuted you may even die but when we choose to believe in Jesus after he draws us, we are saying I am willing to DIE. The song is about dying physically and throwing away the lusts of the flesh. The Bible says to take up our cross daily and kill ourselves so that we can TRULY live. That's the message of the song. It's not saying "If you believe in the cross you are screwed" or anything like that. Sleeping Giant was amazing, saw them last night in concert. POWERFUL.
