@carlphone Well i think the ramones version is way better. as john lydon says its all down to the songs, do they have meanings for real people or not? Sorry but i can't find those in slade songs. Of course Johnny Ramone could only play just a few chords but this doesn't make them worse than other bands.. Without playing that gig in 76 in london great bands like the clash, the damned or the pistols would probably not existed... that's why the ramones are more important than e.g. slade

@OttoRamone94 It is a Ramones song and they deserve the credits for that, but Slade did it better, that s all. BTW Slade have made much much more great tunes in much much more styles and genres than Ramones. Slade simply were a much more versatile and better band.
