It all began back in '85.
Wasting hours waiting on my 1541 Drive
Playing Syndicate on my Commodore 64.
Everything was better before.
The years went by, and in '89.
I got me an Amiga from the 500-line.
8-bit tracker fan
and it all began - with Turrican.
Octalyzer made me a - music man!
Here we go again. The time has come for more.
Once again we ramble on about that everything was better before.
Playing Monty on my Commodore. When the games were in their prime.
Let me take you back in time.
Here we go again. The time has come for more.
Once again we ramble on about that everything was better before.
Playing Monty on my Commodore. When the games were in their prime.
Let me take you back in time.
In '94 came the PSOne.
Once again an epic journey in my time begun.
Gaming everyday in the atmosphere, of Metal Gear.
And Silent Hill was absolute ... fear!
The next year came the N64.
They just dont make'em like those on it anymore.
Legendary games out of Tokyo, like Mario.
And every other hero should shrink ... compared to Link.
About:
This one took a lot of time actually. I started it one month ago, and it has been fiddled with on and off about every day. It started out as something completely different - and then transformed more than 20 times until you have what we have here. I wanted a song like "Gamer Forever" again, which would start off this gamer-album "Back in Time". The intention was to remix an old FastTracker-song of mine ("Dreams of a Destiny") that is a remix of someone else from the old mod-scene. (I dont remember his name or artist nick unfortunately) ... but as always, that didnt happen. I changed everything - so now only the vocal bit saying "dream" is whats left of that.
Anyway, I hope you like it - if not - I tried. The following songs will be well-known remixes of classic tunes from the Amiga, Commodore, Nintendo and Playstation, in various genres. That is the plan anyway. Will be fun to see what happens. My plans usually go down the drain, and squirt out all new plans. But we'll see :)
