Is this In the Round at the Bluebird? Sure looks like the bar back there with the lights on it! Your voice just gets better and better Skip! This is one of my favorites of yours.

I first heard this song performed live by Skip as the pre-opening act to Ricky Van Shelton and the Judds in Bossier City as part of the Judds' 1991 farewell tour. RVS was much better than the Judds, but Skip impressed me even more than RVS on the strength of this one song. As a Christmas song, I consider it right up there with Mark Lowry's "Mary Did You Know?".

It has been several years since I have heard this song. It reminds me of our 15 year old son that we lost this past July 23rd 2012. He wrecked on a motorcycle and died instantly, and although we miss him so much we are so fortunate that God loaned him to us for 15 short years. Weighing only 1 pound when he was born he was truly Gods child.

I remember laying in my top cot in the winter of 1989 during basic training trying to fall asleep in New Jersey. Such a comfort came over me and I fell into a deep restful sleep. God used this song to give me peace that night . It is a gentle reminder that God will take care of me regardless where I am. I played my tape of this until it broke in Desert Storm. I was very upset but another one came in the mail for "Any Female Soldier"...how is that for divine intervention? :)'

This might be the most touching Christmas song ever written. You had me from the title. Brought me to tears that night at The Bluebird. Thank you for the gift of your music, and posting these videos.
