The schiltron was originally devised by the Romans. As Blind Harry describes in his narrative of William Wallace, Wallace learned this manuever while he wa in Rome. It is also the tactic of "turtle shelling" and moving the group any any direction by command.10 years назад

Well, one is sceptical until one have facts :P, so yes, I was quite wrong.
