Andrew Eldritch (singer of The Sisters) in fact does detest the "Goth" label. He said he's not and the band never was, they just happened to wear a lot of black lol. He always envisioned the band as more of a rock band. Motorhead's one of his biggest influences. Because the time they came out, and how they looked, they erroneously get labeled Goth, but they weren't. I love Goth though, and am a huge Sisters fan :-)

actually, I'd rather a band just make music, and be called "goth", than a band say "we're going to be a goth band! pass the black hair dye, we have a video to shoot" and act it up. Cos generally the latter are piss-poor (no offence, but you know who you are). Goth has become a career choice, a commodity.
