By the way, Gothic is not exactly a genre but a style. The very first of the gothic rockers was Stevie Nix formerly of Fleetwood Mac. Check her out in the 80s videos: I CANT WAIT & Rooms on Fire. This is as goth as it gets. Its still basic rock music. Ritchie Blackmore founding member of legendary Deep Purple now has a goth band called Blackmores Night. Its like King Arthur meets metal. So gothic is a period of time in history and many of the fems go for this because of the CLOTHING STYLES.

Delain is also on that list and Leaves Eyes. Delains last album is very dark and EPICA like dealing with real life subject matter and I think they will mature into a legendary band at this rate. I also like a really overlooked (and somewhat unknown even) band called VandenPlas from Germany. Dream Theater is based on this band entirely. Their genre is everywhere from metal, power metal, to symphonic metal. Check songs: January Sun, & Beyond Daylight. Royal Hunt is also at top of the list.

What really impressive is that this video had over 40 million hits in only 3 months when it was released and is still getting people. This is totally hot and SIRENIA has found itself as one of the hippest & sexiest bands in all of metal and 2nd now only to EPICA in that regards. Within Temptation is 3rd with DELAIN in 4th.Thats as hot a fem metal lineup as it gets these days. EDENBRIDGE is releasing a new album and Im wanting to see what they come up with. I think they could be 5th on the list.
