I miss this melodically ambitous era of Alexi's soloing. Not to take anything away from the COB albums, I love them all. Maybe he lost a bit of his fleet fingered agility during the extended break from playing he had to take due to a broken arm around the AYDY album. Many great players lose their ambitious soloing skills after too much drinking and too little practice. The only solo that really spoke to me off their most recent album was the title track. High hopes for forthcoming HALO OF BLOOD!
