It isn't always possible for us to comprehend, entirely, the very essence of Sinead's work, though here, I feel it’s expressed with perfection. I'm sure there're many who can identify with these earnest words, myself included. 'This Is To Mother You' is powerfully emotive. It is a poignant recollection of a love begrudged; it's a story of a child forsaken, a child forlorn of a Mother's love. Omnisciently, the Mother recounts a life devoid of validation, affection and healing; a soul, destitute, and a life untold. She vows to do what the child’s own mother did not do. She rejoices in their communion, assures the child its dues and absolves his/her pain. The Mother pledges salvation, and a love unrelenting.

@squirell1952 What? This is such a bizzare post. First off of course, the spelling of Sinead. Whats that about? And second of all, I dont think Sinead ever did anything in order to be famous. Ever! In fact she probably looks upon her fame as an unfortunate side effect from her making music and being politically active. I dont think she ever wanted the fame per say

Amazing song, so easily could have been overplayed, oversung, but just the right amount of restraint and release make it stunning. And I have to say that the feel I get from the embrace is innocence, joy, playfulness, and true affection, it's wonderful.
