MetallicBill, You are 100% correct about Shooting star being underrated! I have their greatest hits album and it is amazing! ELO was actually the first rock band I remember using a violin but there may have been more before that. Don't get me started on bands that have been snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Kansas, UFO, Triumph, Cheap trick, Styx, Boston, Foreigner, ELO (Jeff Lynne), Deep Purple, Rainbow (Ronnie James Dio), Bad Company, Journey, Pat Benatar etc. I'm not even a fan of all those bands I mentioned but when you can enshrine Flavor Flav with that stupid clock around his neck you can start putting in some bands that sold 25,000,000 albums plus. If Steely Dan can get in, then all those bands I mentioned deserve it as well. Hell, Steely Dan is a jazz band!

Goldmine magazine did an EXCELLENT story about the band, the truth is they got screwed by the record company and people managing their music business, like a lot of others, even Billy Joel and Ted Nugent and Sabbath suffered from poor musical business decisions and handling in their careers
