March 8th, 2004 I left everyone and everything that I knew and moved 800 miles and several states away to start my life over. 12 years later and I have only been back twice, each time for a wedding for which I left the day after. My situation wasn't so extreme. I lived in another state with no family. I had my gf (now wife), a job and an apartment. My job made me miserable. I was angry, argumentative and disrespectful. Every single morning I would argue with myself as to whether I should bother going or not. I decided I needed to leave because of this low morale, mentally toxic environment. I told my wife who ever finds work first were leaving. I gave a months noticed, left on good terms and started life with no job or set plan. Luckily my strong work ethic was noticed by others in that job and others I previously held. A friend of mines parting words to me were "good help always lands on its feet." He was right.I work for the same school as my wife, my living situation is good but not ideal and most importantly I'm happy and never angry or depressed. My only regret is that I spent 3 years of my life in a shitty job and shitty apartment. Take a chance. Sometimes it'll get you back on the right track.9 years назад

Yeah man cool song,.. I can feel its emotion. Somewhat melanchollish sounding to me, I can relate though to what I perceive as a sadness, in my interpretation, although it helps to express and deal with my failures - "tell my mother, tell my father i did the best I can"(which isn't enough).9 years назад

I heard this song the first time on Sept 11, 2008. I was on my way home from burying my 18 yr old son Ben. This song helped me realize that as much as I hated it Ben"s second chance was coming in death. He had turmoil off and on in his short life. He struggled with addiction and battled depression. He was one of the bravest sweetest young men I have known and I don't believe to this day that I have meet a more loyal person. Everyone who new him was blessed. Many young adults have changed their habits, reached out for treatment and started families since his passing. There have been 6 new Ben's added to this world since he passed away. This song was a GOD send for me it truly helped me keep my sanity. To this day when I need a good cry I listen to this song and always feel better afterwards. THANK YOU SHINE DOWN!!!!!9 years назад
