It's songs like these that led the teens in the 00's into their emo phases. Just think of it; this song was played constantly on the family channel, where kids and teens watched their daily dose of cartoons. And when they see skulls and black clothing with red streaks in your hair is a cool thing, they'll most likely copy it. This is what happened to my older sister and I remember her friends at school dressing like this. XD (I had brothers and I never saw them or their friends a do the style, but they often listened to punk/rock music all the time.) I was too young to join in on the style, but I do got good music taste now. ;)

I think the meaning of the song is..."Why would I ever be anybody else but ME?" Shiloh is living her happy life being her and expressing herself.That blonde chick is not who she is. She's a "jazztic, spastic, superficial plastic *clone*". Meaning, she tries to be what society wants her to be. And what happens when you're not being you? You get tons of shit for that.
