It is my understanding there might even be a few chords in this song. They look like: A b bass drone, B to Bsus repeat. G#min -> C#min Bsus -> B. Chorus A, C#min7, F#min, Bsus -> B

Thanks, I enjoyed it and since the camera was on the guitar I won't have to say, "Chords". LOL Thanks again!

"Hey man, run those chords pass me." would work. "Chords" is what a knuckle dragger would say. Bet when he's hungry and he says, "food" and you think everyone around him is supposed to jump and feed him. Let him fend for himself till he learns how to deal with people in a courteous manner.

On this day in 1976 {July 24th} Daryl Hall & John Oates' "She's Gone" re-entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #7 and spent 20 weeks on the Top 100 chart... It first entered the Top 100 two years earlier on February 9th, 1974 and reached #60 and stayed in the Top 100 for 8 weeks... In late 1974 on October 5th Tavares' covered version entered the Top 100 and reached #50... And on December 21st Tavares peaked at #1 {for 1 week} on Billboard's R&B chart...

On I'm Not in Love, I'd leave the B/E strings open (and on this version of She's Gone, the third guitar player is doing that). But I'm just playing a regular F-shaped chord, but hitting that low E string at the 7th fret of both chords to get the bass B note into the chord.

Hi..Thanks but what I wanted to know is what your fingerings are startting on the 7th fret ( I guess it is). If you have a minute.I realise you get lots of requests. It looks as if your barring the GBE with your ist finger on the 7th fret but I can't quite make it out. Oh you mean the same chords as "I'm not in Love" ..yeah.

There are a couple of guitars going on this song, and one of them is playing it as you describe. I'm playing second-position A/B chords fretting the low E string at the 7th fret on both chords.

privettricker

Exactly the same chords.

By the way, don't the opening chords sound like the opening chords for "I'm Not In Love" by 10 CC? I think so.

Hi If you have a minute ,can you tell me what your playing on the opening chords."Everybodys high on consolation, everybody try to tell me what is right for me" I'm playing A/B then B but the A/B is on the 2nd fret and the B that I'm doing is just a 2nd fret bar B.I can't quite make out what your fingerings are on this video., By the way...as a guitar connisseur, can I reccommend the New Gretsch Rancher to you if you haven't already bought or tried one. It's supurb and not silly money.

I'm, impressed. You have an audience there? LOL. Have you posted any more Hall and Oates stuff? I can't find any more but I thought I would ask in case I overlooked it. Hall and Oates are pretty much my all time favourite artists.Something about their music and lyrics that really resonates. I really appreicate the time you take to put this stuff up ,even thoghth it's probably no chore for you. It's been incredilbly useful and will continue to be.

It's difficult seeing exactly what some of your fingers are holding and what you're dampening. Do you have this written out by any chance?
