terribly - it's not the tune Cole wrote - this rendition may be beautiful per se, but it's not begin the beguine. OK if that girl wants to sign it like that she can but NOT in this film. They should have included the real tune .

My god, I hardly recognize this version. It is very well produced and performed but it's all wrong. This beautiful classic of the American Songbook has a melody quite different from what we hear in this performance. This is more than just a different interpretation of the song. It is a distortion of the melody, something Porter had so very right in the first place. What on earth were they thinking? Have those who like this version even heard the song as written? Artie Shaw must be spinning in his grave. Porter too. Gack.

Ah yes, another outstanding butchering cover entry from perhaps one of the thinnest, soulless, skill devoid and assuming voices in music history, Sheryl Crow. No surprise to find Alanis Morissette and K.D. Lang contributing to this cringe-worthy abortion of Cole Porter's masterworks as well. Safe to acknowledge the 1990's was where studio over-wizardry, casting talent from bad TV shows, rock star groupie fellatio contest winners and unlistenable indie barroom flops, became MTV staples forced down our throats. A cycle repeated until we actually started believing they were valid talents. And people wonder how we came to live in a Kelly Clarkson/Katy Perry/Miley Cyrus world today. The 1990's forward, is how. God save every of pair of ears not made of tin.

This song was so good my best friend and I searched up all of Sheryl Crows music to find a song she sang this well. We were dissapointed that this was the only one she did this well in our opinion. but I think its the song writters ability to right a love song people can feel, so the more they pour their hearts into the song the stronger the Music becomes since its so realistic yet Lovely.
