adrian paul--breathtakingly gorgeous. effortlessly handsome. pity i like him in this video more than i ever enjoyed in the highlander series.that being said, as i rewatch this video lo these many years later, it never occurred to me that she's breaking up with him because he's an abusive boyfriend. he breaks a vase capriciously; he rips off the pearls he bought her as a gift; during their argument he pushes her. several times in the video in between all the sexy lovemaking, she flinches from him like someone who's been hit before by a man.

@shmuli9:You're right about this not cracking the US Hot 100 but I remember it was a hit on the US R&B charts making it to #35 or so. I think it probably would have charted higher but right around the time this was released (if I remember correctly) Billboard was reorganizing how and which radio stations reported for the R&B charts, the Hot 100 and the then new R&B/Crossover and Dance/Crossover charts. I lived in San Diego at the time and this was a huge song but the main R&B station there (92.5) had long been playing what would become called R&B/Crossover and when Billboard created the new charts it was one of the stations that stopped reporting to the R&B charts and started reporting for the "new" R&B/crossover format so its airplay of the song didn't contribute to the R&B chart totals after the change. There were at least a dozen other stations that went through the same process although I don't remember if Seattle's R&B station was one of them... ;)"shmuli9I looked at the chart placing for this, and it seems this didn't make a dent in the US or Canadian charts, but it was a VERY big hit, and played often, on the radio in Seattle..."
