The Beatles said that "The Byrds" were their favorite American Group at the time. Back then I couldn't stop playing them, even bought myself a 12 string electric. Great stuff.

had the 45 and "turn turn turn" album (besides others byrdee music). great group ... always missed gene clark when he wasn't with group ........ and crosby too!

I believe the instrumental break is Bach's 'Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring' and seems to fit the song well. The alternate version in the boxed set has Gene Clark's Harmonica in the instrumental which was not on the single. Some of their best songs were B sides, this one and 'Why' among others.

Am always shocked how quickly Crosby aged between 1965 and 1967 or so. He went from looking like a young kid to looking middle aged in about 2 years time. Never seen anything like that before in any human being.
