I would so marry her voice. But seriously, Shawn is such a wonderful performer to listen to/watch. I am literally "taken aback" by her presence and delivery. Yoshi's Jazz Club in The City, Jan. 23rd? Might just have to drive down the coast for that one...

In her memoir Shawn reveals that this song relates to the dissolution of a marriage but more pointedly to her own sense of artistic/creative inertia after her success allowed the purchase of a lakehouse where she thought she would be safe to recover from the hardships of the sacrifices she made for expression..then she realizes that the house is a trap...she feels isolated from the stimulae that prompted so many great songs and must get herself "out of this house"..I thought that was interesting
