I am almost 40 and I wish I can go back to the 80's...I miss Shalamar,and the funky beats of those days.The music was real,alive,and they just put you in a good mood..Todays music is crap,horrible,hardly no talent,and no class..Singing is no longer an art,its about how slutty you look and even if you can't sing all of the sudden it is a so called hit.Nicki Minaj,Lil Wayne,and Justin Bieber has single handedly destroyed music..

The first concert I ever went to was shalamar and kool in the gand ladies night. that was 1979. I was 14 years old. I have never been a church going person but after 33 years I think this shit is coming to and end. Everything today is fake.The music, the T.V shows, the people. I have kids and they allways want to here about when I grew up. This day an age is lost.

When I was 15 years old, I was (and still am) the same way. What really hurts my mind and heart is that there is no love and emotion in today's R&B music. I'm glad that I can come here and listen to music that has meaning and substance. I'm sorry, but I really cannot listen to music that encourages negativity and makes love seem like a symbol of being weak. Other than that, this is a damn good ballad. I wish I had a strong enough voice, that I could create something beautiful as this.
