I first heard Pretty Vacant in 1982 when I was 10 (too late for the first time round) and seeing the video to it and I remember being totally gobsmacked. I went to the local park and kept singing it to all the other kids, even though I didn't know the words. It changed my world forever. Even now, when I enjoy other more 'gentle' music, whenever I play Never Mind The Bollocks, my hair stands on end and the adrenaline starts pumping...pure rock n roll!
