I was just at their concert. Lajon did not sing the opening part. So your suspicion is correct I'd say. The concert was amazing by the way. 19 years and Lajon's voice is as strong as ever, and the band was flawless.

The only part Lajon sings is the chorus, "Please, I know it's too late for my eyes to open". Clint sings everything else.

Almost positive that Clint is singing at the opening of the song. Lajon has a much more nasally voice. Not a dis, it sounds bitchin', but can anyone confirm my suspicion?
