There must have been some bird that was not quite a chicken that layed an egg containing a chicken. It all comes down to speciation, and that is something I've never been able to quite wrap my head around. But my inability to understand speciation doesn't prove God.

YES, STILL ANOTHER great Sesame Street classic; saw this one quite frequently, on the show, in the 1970s. Great hoedown music, too--I also always liked the way they have all of those eggs place themselves in egg cartons, just before the end, and the way the eggs all form in a circle(with a smiley face within), the eggs in an X-shape, and finally, at the very end, the word EGG spelled out, each letter of the word on a different egg. Incidentally, just which one DID come first-chicken or egg?

If this video were being shown on SS nowadays it would come with voiceover contrasting the bucolic farm scenes and the egg collection by hand with the modern factory that starts at :27. A sanctimonious lecture on the cruel, inhumane conditions of the latter would inevitably dominate the show.
