The intro to my favorite album from the series.

This is my 2nd favorite song on the album after "Have Mercy Upon Me"

Released at the very end of the series, it's actually the 3rd to the last album.

Denny Correll passed away a few years ago of a heart attack, his other songs include the popular "I Will Be WIth You" from Maranatha's "Hallelujah/16 Songs of Joyful Boasting" album. Others include "O, Lord Come" and "We Have Overcome" all written by Bill Batstone and done in similar styles.

"As far as the east is from the west" is also a good description of the gap between us and God because of our sins, till Jesus took them away. Then it became the description of the gap between us and our sins  --  so complete is His saving forgiveness!Thank You, Jesus!

It was a custom for you not to sin less during the year, the more you sinned the more animals you had to bring unto the Hight priest to make a WASHING for the year. You would have to do that again for next year. But JESUS CHRIST made ATTONEMENT of our sins once and for all by the power of the Blood not of animals. And now is seated at the right hand of the Father.

@ajtspecial1 Great debate man, I've learnt a lot today. We learn everyday by sharing ideas. Keep it up

@ajtspecial1 The point of my response to your comment was to ask you if you are sure and don't need to reexamine your stance that it is important to see the difference in the "terms" for forgiveness in both the Old and New Testaments. I say this because I am under the impression that they basically mean the same thing in the New and Old Testatment, the main difference is that Jesus' sacrifice is eternal and doesn't have to be repeated unlike the Old Testame

@ajtspecial1 So since the Isrealites in the Old testament asked for their sins or iniquity to be "washed" as in Psalm 51 and or "covered" as in Psalm 79. Are you sure that they did not mean the same thing when they said "atone" or "cleane" our sins which would be the same thing meant in the New Testament when they say "wash" our sins.

@ajtspecial1 For example take the chapter where my favorite song from the album "Have Mercy Upon Me" comes from, Psalm 51. King David says "wash me thoroughly from my iniquity", "wash" there is "kabac" in Hebrew which means trample, that's how they washed certain items during those days, by trampling. He also says "Cleanse me from my sins", "cleanse" there is "taher" which means to "be pure or make bright" In the New Testament it says the Blood of Jesus "washes" sin Continued

@ajtspecial1 After a brief skimming through Strong's Concordance online, yes you are indeed right that Kaphar is the word that is used in Psalm 79:9 as well as many other chapters where Atonement is mentioned. In each case it's figurative of covering one's record of sin so that Forgiveness can be attained. That said "cleansing" or "washing away" of sin is not a New Tetstament concept despite the use of the word Kaphar in many instances in the Old Testament.

@ajtspecial1 I apologize for the tone of my intial response to your comments on this page.

@ajtspecial1 "Atonement" "Forgiveness" the point is the same In both Testaments Forgiveness was by the Atonement, the Atoning blood of Jesus Christ which allows God to Forgives us sinful humans. In the old Testament people looked forward towards the Atonment that Jesus's sacrifice would provide. If by your saying "Sin was eliminated" in the New Covenant you mean that a Christian can't sin and go to Hell then you would be wrong as Judas himself served as an example.
