i lost my dad a long time back and he adored the saw doctors so much we sang two of their songs at his funeral. We didn't sing this one, but it was one of his favourites, and every time I hear it I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I love this band, I love this song.

In all fairness Wilson, you will get people like this at gigs, especially high tempo gigs like the Saw Doctors. While I'm sure it's annoying when they bump into you, If all he was doing was 'flailing around, the lads probably didn't think he was doing much harm. Now if he was being overtly violent and disruptive I'm sure their reaction would have been different. I can understand why you'd be pissed off at that guy, but don't let it put you off this great bamd.

The Saw Doctors are a musical institution in Ireland. Their songs really encapsulate what it is like to be Irish and you really haven't lived until you've seen them live.

That's unfortunate that this happened. I would think they'd like to remove disruptive influences rather than to allow them to continue annoying people. I'm guessing that, as with many Irishmen, they harbor a resentment towards authority born out of the rocky relationship Ireland has had with England for centuries. The music is still great though. Fortunately, when I attended a Saw Doctors concert nothing like that happened.

I had the privilege of seeing and hearing the Saw Doctors in a live concert a few years ago. It was an informal venue outdoors in a park in Huntington, New York on a warm summer night. I was seated on the grass twenty feet from the stage. There's a reason most of their recordings are from live concerts. That's where they really shine. This is not a studio session band. These guys are the real deal and better in person than you could imagine. We had a great time that night.

im 16 years old first got introduced into the saw docters when i was about 10 years old its my mums favorite band! eversince i got into them i just cant stop listning! there absolootly amazing! Best songs are this and everyday<3!
