They didn't didn't start anything new.Yes, some people claim they got into "BlackMetal" due to COF.BUT those are the ones that didn't know shit.There were other bands before COF that started The BM Genre.For instance Bathory came out in 1984.No comparison!

As much as I hate CoF, they helped me to get into TRUE black metal, like SWM. I heard CoF and was like ... "I like the darkness they put in their music" of course I'd later come to find out it was fake darkness, they did aid me in my quest for real black metal. Still fuckin' hate them though.
