I remember the first time I ever heard Sarah Vaughan sing, I was watching PBS and here is this voice I literally stopped in my tracks and sat on the floor I could not believe my ears. I was so excited I went into work the next day and went to see my supervisor who is a real jazz buff figuring that I would impress him with my new find. He just looked at me when I asked if he had ever heard of Sarah Vaughan, he could hardly keep himself from laughing out loud but was polite enough to listen to me go on about my new find. I was out the following weekend and bought my first album
