Apparently, the new Fotheringay box set (which is due for release any day now) contains all the songs from this 1970 German television programme ('Beat Club') including 'Nothing More'(hopefully the full version) and 'John The Gun'.

Sandy lives on in her music and those of us who loved her .

In retrospect, I don't think it was a good idea for Sandy to go solo. Sandy in Fotheringay sounded so right.

many try to put Sandy's gift into perspective... to me "Sandy was a Grand Piano in a world full of Uprights" or even "A Twelve String in a Six String World" - check out every track you can find from "Sandy Denny and the Strawbs" [Sail Away to the Sea - All I Need is You -Who Knows Where the Time Goes ] - her only all acoustic album...

Short glimpse of a young Gerry Conway there, with his unique style of drumming. He went on as Cat Steven's drummer for the greater part of Cat's career. He played with Jethro Tull in the early 80's, and along with 'Tull's original drummer, Clive Bunker, made huge contributions to 'Tull recordings, IMHO.

Beauty inside? I am a big fan of her voice and her singing, and have been touched by many of her songs, but as a person, Sandy was deeply troubled. Her short adult like is best described as tragic, due to her deep insecurities and the addictions she sought to find refuge in. The latter part of her life has been described a a classic downward spiral. Her story is a very sad one indeed.

I love this song.So sad that so few video clips of the great Sandy Denny exist while so much survives from lesser artists from that time.Been listening to some of my favourite Sandy Denny songs tonight and it has just occurred to me that it is 36 years ago this week since that sad spring day in 1978 when we lost one of our finest singer/songwriters.One cannot help wondering what might/should have been, but she left behind some wonderful songs and recordings.

I saw Sandy and Fotheringay play at the Plumpton Rock Festival in 1971. They delivered a beautiful soothing set. I remember Sandy being hassled by a swarm of bees on stage.

Such a brilliant, textured voice: warm, red velvet with silver highlights you can taste. Like most folks, I first heard her on the "Battle of Evermore" and said, "Who the **** is that?" Thus began my fascination with Gaelic and Keltic music that I can only satisfy with marathon sessions of Loreena McKennit or Enya. But Sandy was beyond remarkable. Her upper range was better than Linda Thompson's and her vibrato could send chills through me every time. What might have been...

My favorite singer..Sandy was just amazing. The first time I heard this I cried. I own all the cd's and vinyl Lp's now of Sandy Denny. Completely essential listening. The kind of music that touches your soul like nothing youve never heard before. Love this song and Banks of the Nile..that song just slays me everytime!!

In case you did not find it, the whole song and in my opinion the very best version ever can be found on her very last concert recording Gold Dust. Get a copy, you will not regret it :)

I'm with you. I saw Sandy in 1975 in Brisbane. The PA sounded horrible. Fairport bored me stiff but when Sandy sang my eyes moistened up and found myself saying: "it's you, it's only you who does this to me." She only sang three songs that night nothing from her solo rep. but I would not have missed her for the world. Sandy your fans love you.

Is there coverage of the full song anywhere. Jerry Donahue said this was his favourite Sandy Denny song .He plays a brilliant guitar solo on the studio version. It is frustrating that the footage finishes just as Jerry is about to play the solo !

another video being unearthed of the Great Sandy, the lady, the greatest introspective and sad genius of a singer of all time.. "Nothing More is one of the most underrated pieces of her repetoire.. and with Autopsy, Man of Iron and Here in Silence leaves you in permanent introspective cloudy gaze staring at what might have gone the other way in life
