This takes me back to 88/89. Saw them umpteen times while at Uni in Sheffield. They played the Poly indie night 'Sheff 2' several times, the leadmill and also supporting the Wonderstuff at the Octogon. The Sandkings had their own support band for this, 'Neds Atomic Dustbin'. Was only 5 of us watching Neds. I loved the Sandkings, were my fav band at the time; shame they never cracked it. I even had a couple of long sleeved band T-Shits until my wife binned them a couple of years ago.
