I first track I EVER of heard by Milton Nascimento was on a compilation CD (101.9 presents Columbia and Sony Jazz CD) and it was a rendition of La Bamba; I was BLOWN away by his playing ability and his haunting singing voice. By happenchance, La Bamba burst forth on my speakers this evening while my player was on random. I immediately did a soundhound to recall the artist and the research started. Amazon will by receiving a purchase request from me this evening for 4-5 Milton Nascimento CDs. I love this guy!!

I love Herbie Hancock's playing as a leader, but also as a sideman. His intro to Lee Morgan's "Ceora" is beautiful textbook stuff. In this song, at 3 minutes and 18 seconds into this masterpiece, Herbie unleashes his ever-nimble fingers on the keys. INCREDIBLE !!!!!!!!!!
