It doesn't seem to matter what instrument you put in their hands, they can play everything. Amazing!

Didn't know that about Jerry. Every day's a school day. And there's Gypsy legend Django Reinhart of course, who lost use of fingers 2 and 3 of his left hand in a fire. Re-learnt guitar. If you want to enough, you'll find a way.

We all have 4 fingers and a thumb on each hand if we're a normally developed human being. Jerry Garcia's right middle finger was cut off at the first knuckle by his brother when he was 4 or 5. Didn't seem to hurt his playing........just sayin' . NO SNIVELING.

Sam's fiddle sounds great, but I have to know, what kind of banjo is Tim playing? Nylon strings, Martin-ish headstock, and it's way HUGE!!!

Yeah, even though people think of him primarily as a mandolinist, Sam is one of my absolute favorite fiddlers.

Great tune, my favorite fiddle tune. No wonder it has been around since about the 12th century. Sam is at his best here!

Trust me, you are only playing music about 25% of time. People have this grandiose vision of professional musicians doing nothing but playing music all day. There is a lot of hard work that goes into putting on a good show. These guys have it easier than I would, but they still do a lot of work. And they have earned their money.

Tim has written some pretty famous and big selling songs (recorded by others such as The Dixie Chicks) so I'm pretty sure he will be comfortable with the royalty cheques. They are both two of the finest players on the planet and deserve every cent/penny they make cause they make me so happy!

@CGiordano464 If I could get through this world healthy and comfortable, by doing nothing but playing music, I probably wouldn't even care to know how much or how little currency was in the bank. I could turn my attention to playing better and better and better. I betcha that's what these guys do.
