Only recently discovered this band, but I really appreciate you making this video using documentary footage. I studied WWII from when I was a kid, and basically forced myself to study WWI as an adult because of the absolute horror and tragedy that this song (and video) encapsulates. It's a lot easier to study a war where there's Good and Evil, but when something so horrific results from the most advanced societies for reasons we a century later can't fathom, it becomes so absolutely devastating.I've visited Verdun - it's amazing how scarred the land still is, and you can't help but weep.

GhostDog, Thanks for the brilliant video I can't help but think the unknown Canadian Soldier might be one of my great-great-uncles 5 of them served with the CEF 2 died with unknown graves 2 wounded and 1 survived without any incident. Cheers.

i read the one of the german fight aces told some new piolts if he ever saw them shooting at a plane already going down or a bailed out piolt he would shot them himself and that you had to have honor and mabey you would get to live through the war.my grandfather fought in ww1 and you could see he was a different person when he came home.
