Sad that my two favorite guitarists both died right in their prime. But, it's time for another to carry on the legacy as Stevie did for Jimi, someone should do it for both Jimi and Stevie. Jimi was the most important part of musical history in modern society in my opinion. Along with B.B. and Chuck Berry of course :D

EVH is/was good, arrogant Prick but good!! We're talkin a different type of music here tho. Blues based electric rock. Do your homework, listen to Kenny Wayne Shepard, I've heard him live, a few times. Pure Bad Ass

you gotta be a bad m.f. guitar player to get onstage dressed as a matador or in a kimono of all things, and people just say at the end' that guy was awesome' instead of 'that dude was dressed as a matador/ in a kimono."

Stevie was a humble guy. He admits he's no Jimi and that Jimi was the man, something Clapton never did and never will do. Mayer might kiss up to the old legends, but if someone new and better came along, he will never admit it either.

thing is, he played jimi's licks. that's it. he sounded absolutely nothing like him. had his own sound but still didn't come close to how jimi sounded. still a badass damn guitarist in his own right, though.

What a player; what a loss..... he'd be 60 next month and we've all been denied so much wonderful guitar playing. Watch 'Live at the El Mocambo' and reflect on what we've missed..... maybe he wasn't Jimi Hendrix - no-one was - but he WAS Stevie Ray Vaughan, and that in itself was more than enough. RIP SRV.

Hmm. Whats this? Its nothing like the Taylor Swift Katy Perry Brawl? What is this thing that Stevie talks about, respect? I thought musicians were supposed to bring up drama and gloat to sell crappy music!
