I purchased this cd years ago. About 10 years later I had the chance to see Air Supply live. I took 2 cd's with me on the off chance that I might be able to get them autographed---this was one of them. After the show both Graham and Russell came out and to my absolute amazement stayed until everyone got whatever they wanted signed. Awesome!

In the late 80's the people that ran the charts were changing and their auditing/accounting of a song's popularity resulted in putting MTV looking artists in the forefront (since almost every executive wanted more pop like MJ and others without the quality/creativity). Thus, the 90's charts focused on money much more than creativity.

I just can't believe, even 24 years later, that this song didn't do better on the charts. Shows you that in 1987-88 timeframe how music was changing and not for the better.

first russell hitchcock 45 single on vinyl i ever bought. said from the forthcoming solo album of russell hitchcock. 45 had the air supply song heart and soul as the B side to the 45. was a plain white cover with russell hitchcock on bottom and the river cried on top. very plain cover for the first single released in the usa. heart and soul nwas on the air supply album which was still on the charts at the time his solo album was about to come out. hearts in motion. check heart and soul out at:
