so idk where i first heard this song but it was at least a couple years and i completely forgot about it until the rocket summer was opening for a different band i was seeing. i literally lost my shit because i knew every word to every song. it was awesome, especially seeing this song live, it was beautiful!

Honestly, I don't think it matters exactly what Bryce is meaning/referring to when he sings this song, this is an amazing song by an amazing guy, let it mean whatever it means to you. To me, this song is talking about a relationship with God, but it could easily be about cheating and deceit too.
