Roy Rodgers is probably the best slide player alive , also Johnny Winters ,don't forget Johnny because I guarantee you Roy knows who Johnny Winters is. interesting how some use the pinky finger and some use the ring finger , like Bonnie Rate . I have to give credit to the great Mick Taylor , who first turned me on to slide guitar , man the Stones music really went south after you left.

Well here's a couple of things you can do 1) buy some of the original recordings and play them over and over while studying what they are doing 2) Listen to some modern players that have already done number one 3) Go see, watch and hear Roy Rogers live and buy his recordings. Live (or video) is best - Buy his recordings to keep him alive and testifying!!
