Ain't Getting Better is the first solo single by Dutch-American singer Rose Spearman after her departure from Kraak & Smaak. It is her first single from a brand new album, "Assumptions," recorded and produced in Los Angeles.

Rose spent her early career touring all the major festivals in the world with artists Roger Sanchez, Kerri Chandler, Joe T. Vanelli, Boris Dlugosch, and eventually, Kraak & Smaak. She recorded her album, "Trust," with King Britt and James Poyser. Rose has spent most of the past two years in the United States at the invitation of publishers, record companies, and producers to work on a large number of new songs.

"It was time to catch my breath and enjoy my American family

in the San Francisco Bay Area, Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles. I loved

the wonderful climate, the beautiful land, the space, and the opportunities

to get back to work with some amazing international producers, including

the Wizardz of Oz from the Superpop network, Britney Spears, and Avril Lavigne. But I think it's great to be back in Europe for the promotion of

this single. Funny enough, it is the only song on the album that I've

written together with Dutchman Han Koornneef! Ain't Getting Better is produced by The Wizardz of Oz and Attie Bauw."

Ain't Getting Better comes out November 7, 2012. It is produced in cooperation with the worldwide company, Superpop.Co. The European license is issued by RED Line/CNR International.

The album, "Assumptions," will be released in 2013 in North America, Canada, and Europe. The album contains 12 straightforward pop songs, produced by American and European producers. It is an adult pop album good for both listening and dancing. Rose wrote all of the lyrics for the album. They are dark sometimes, and Bluesy too. Assumptions is about assumptions, and how these can be treacherous. Army is about how people see her and how she sees herself. For King of Air she used music from her father, the American free jazz tenor saxophonist Glenn Spearman.

"He was a remarkable man, child of a Jewish mother and a black father. Glenn Spearman came from California to New York to Paris to pursue his dream of playing free jazz. I sample pieces from his album, "Blues for Falasha." The latter refers to Ethiopian Jews who have no home. My father also never felt at home anywhere - too black for the whites to hear, and vice versa. I understood him much better when I began to use his music."

In Spring 2013 Rose Spearman will launch her album with a U.S. tour, followed by a number of club shows in the Netherlands and beyond.
