Single remix of I Cry For You (Love, Hope and Confusion) by Roger Taylor with Freddie Mercury on backing vocals. A few bits from Freddie appear at the end, but he does not appear on the extended or album version of this song. Written by Roger Taylor. Remixed by John Deacon and Mack.

Lyrics:

Love me tender

Love me true

Love can always

See you through

I hope you're fine

I hope all's well (all's well)

Given time

Hope springs eternal

Who finds conclusions (finds conclusions)

With love, hope and confusion

I cry, I cry for you

I cry for you

I cry for you

Life has no fun anymore

Time is on the run for sure

No place to run anymore

Love, hope and confusion

I hope you're fine

I hope all's well (all's well)

Give 'em hell

Hope springs eternal

Who finds conclusions (finds conclusions)

With love, hope and confusion

Yeah, alright, yeah

I cry, I cry for you

I cry for you

I cry for you

I cry for you

I cry for you

I cry for you

I cry for you (wooo)

I cry for you (cry for you)

I cry for you

I cry for you (for you)

I cry for you

I cry for you

Similar as Radio Ga Ga!

yo mismo

hay que agradecer a Roger su trabajo en solitario, su experimentación, que tanto le ayudo con Queen con la canción A Kind of Magic. Claramente esta experimentación se ve en esta canción.

Finally I'm convinced - yes, Fredster is on this near the end isn't he - never heard this version till today. I suspect as John Deacon was involved in the mix too it may well have been put forward for The Works album. Shame it didn't actually - in same way as Hijack my heart never made The Miracle I think Queen albums were poorer without a Roger lead vocal. Just made them more interesting really.

Freddie isn't credited on this but having heard it again it does sound like there are a couple of Freddie sounding words during fade out. The album was released in the same year as The Works and Radio Ga Ga so maybe it was a potential Queen track for The Works that didn't get past the Queen QA process, so ended up a Roger solo track? I asked Roger at a Queen Convention Q&A session which of his own tracks he would have loved to have heard Freddie sing, and he said Magic is Loose. Interesting.

It says it was recorded in 1994. Freddie was already gone them. I see it as Roger crying for Freddie. Such a tragic loss

@Xcorgi FYI his name is Roger Meddows Taylor and as it says in the description, you can only hear a little Freddie and its all at the end. You have to listen very closely and you can hear a few "oh yeah"s and "for you"s and the way Freddie says YEAH for instance- is very unique. I'm very positive that he is in this- the music is loud and Roger's mic is definitely turned up a lot higher than Freddie's , but he's on this...

I dont believe Freddie was on this at all. Roger always tracked his own backup vocals so it's just him singing in a lower key for that part. If it was Freddie, it certainly didnt sound like him. I mean his voice is pretty unmistakeable and I simply do not hear it on this song. The only way I would believe it was Freddie is if I were to be able to see it on the alblum credits. By the way guys; Rogers's real last name is Meadows. FYI.
