The first time I heard this song, Rodney was on the Ralph Emery show in 1991. I remember as I listened to it, I thought to myself, "if something happens to my son, I don't have to to remember things I wish I'd said, because I always told my son I love him." The minute this song ended, our doorbell rang. Our son had been killed in an accident. I still cry when I hear it. Rodney sent me a tape of him singing it on this show...
