Just saw Trower last night in Vegas. Got to meet him briefly after the show. I asked him about the different version of this song featured here. He did not recall any other version than the traditional recorded version. I really thought he could have explained the "Do you want a lover or do you want a fool" hook featured above. If the artist has no clue , I guess the answer to my question will go unknown. Can't ask Jimmy or Reg. Any thoughts or info from fans is welcome.

As far as the lyrics, I remember reading or hearing that the song was written (as heard in this video) and then changed before it was recorded. I think it even had a different title. The music was the same but the lyrics changed. I wish I could remember where I read that.
