I think he was struggling with the clapping, moronic whistling, mike stand and overpowering backing, unfortunately. The suit wasn't one of his better ones but despite all that, what a clean cut superbly handsome guy with a lovely voice.

I had the great fortune to see him live on a few occasions - my late husband was involved in the music business - believe me he was brill - however in the true sense he was a "man at his work" Robert Palmer performed to the highest level of professionalism and never forgot his fellow musicians whilst being very modest and quiet about his own performance> he was unique x as previously stated "a man at his work"
