Robbie Williams look in this clip is quite clearly inspired on Francois Cevert who was  an young and climbing French driver very close friend and teammate of Jackie Stewart in Tyrrell. Sadly, Cevert had a fatal crash whose reasons were never well verified during tests in Watkins Glen 1973. Stewart who was thinking to stop with races decided to quit soon after this crash because he was good friend of Cevert and considered him as a sort of his heir.You can see Cevert at1.04 on podium with Stewart and Williams.So, I think that Williams wanted to make a tribute to this great and unfortunate driver.
